Summary

'WE ARE LIVERPOOL - THIS MEANS MORE。' JRGEN KLOPPAllez Allez Allez is the inside account of Liverpool FC's 2018/19 season, a campaign which saw the club compete in the most gripping Premier League title race in history and become Champions of Europe for the sixth time。

Featuring access to management, players and staff, Allez Allez Allez explains how Liverpool have emerged from what Jrgen Klopp described as the "depression" of 2015 to achieve feats that have eluded an entire generation of supporters。

Through original research and exclusive interviews, Simon Hughes takes readers into Melwood, the club's training ground, and behind the dressing room door。 He takes them to Chapel Street, where the club's business is determined and to America, where it is owned。 He takes them into Anfield, where many of the most important moments are defined, and he takes them on to the pitches of the Premier League and the Champions League, culminating in victory in Madrid, as we revisit how one of Liverpool's greatest seasons was written。

I've been a supporter of the club for 20 years and counting, and nothing can top the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons for me, not even the most recent season when the title drought was finally ended, albeit in bizarre circumstances。 It was also the height of my fandom, to the point where I never missed a single match, often waking up at ungodly hours at the risk of stirring my wife and my then toddler。Ever reminisced about happy recollections in your life? This book would evoke similar emotions as it recounts the events and milestones, and all the little details, some of which go way back in history, that would set the stage for one the biggest achievements in the club's history。 As a club insider, Simon Hughes utilized his advantage to brilliant effect by painting mini-biographies and backstories, and strung them together into this fascinating read。 。。。more

Great insight into the running of the club under Klopp。 A few good stories regarding the humility of some of the players particularly Sadio Mane and James Milner。

Every Liverpool fan should read this excellent book on the Klopp years which culminated in the team winning the Champions League a year ago。 Like all of Simon's books, it's superbly researched with wide ranging insider interviews and you learn so much through it。The insights on things such Klopp's appointment, Fenway, the Rodgers years, and some of the players like Trent Alexander-Arnold is brilliant。I'm eagerly looking forward to Simon's next book。 Every Liverpool fan should read this excellent book on the Klopp years which culminated in the team winning the Champions League a year ago。 Like all of Simon's books, it's superbly researched with wide ranging insider interviews and you learn so much through it。The insights on things such Klopp's appointment, Fenway, the Rodgers years, and some of the players like Trent Alexander-Arnold is brilliant。I'm eagerly looking forward to Simon's next book。 。。。more

It was nice reliving one of the best memories of my life。 The 2018-2019 season still feels like a dream and Simon Hughes' clever, and occasionally artful writing captured the exhilaration and the hope that were threaded through the narrative of what that Liverpool squad achieved。 This book reminded me that mawkish romanticism and undying determination is the way of this football club and I would not have it any other way。My favorite chapters of the book were the ones that focused on individual p It was nice reliving one of the best memories of my life。 The 2018-2019 season still feels like a dream and Simon Hughes' clever, and occasionally artful writing captured the exhilaration and the hope that were threaded through the narrative of what that Liverpool squad achieved。 This book reminded me that mawkish romanticism and undying determination is the way of this football club and I would not have it any other way。My favorite chapters of the book were the ones that focused on individual players' backgrounds and my least favorite chapters dwelt on the dark years of Hicks and Gillett and Woy (because I don't like remembering those things)。 The reason for my rating is that I felt the book felt somewhat uneven and that the chapters didn't seem to be written together to fit more cohesively into the story of a resurgent club that Hughes wanted to tell, with some sections coming off as filler to pad out the page count。Still, while this season is still in limbo, reading this book eased my anxieties a bit, as a familiar hope and wonder bloomed deep within my chest。 In these uncertain times, I'll try to hold onto those phantom feelings for a while longer yet。 。。。more

honestly 5 stars to the entire 18/19 season。 there’s no other answer。 hughes tells a beautiful story not just of how liverpool reached its 6th cl trophy, but also how the club has toughed out some dark and difficult years in the last decade, truly rising like a phoenix through the ashes。 i already know how it ends, yet i still got so emotional。mp3 just reading each player’s backstory and how all of them fitted the pieces to the puzzle that is liverpool’s comeback in modern football。especially em honestly 5 stars to the entire 18/19 season。 there’s no other answer。 hughes tells a beautiful story not just of how liverpool reached its 6th cl trophy, but also how the club has toughed out some dark and difficult years in the last decade, truly rising like a phoenix through the ashes。 i already know how it ends, yet i still got so emotional。mp3 just reading each player’s backstory and how all of them fitted the pieces to the puzzle that is liverpool’s comeback in modern football。especially emotional for me was reading 🥺 jordan henderson’s 🥺 chapter。 he truly is a symbol of how far the club has come and what it’s spirit is。 don’t come for my captain or i will fight you!! essentially, liverpool 🥰🥺❤️ MY TEAM, my girlhood team。 。。。more
